Submit Abstract

Submit an Abstract

We invite abstract submissions for the International Conference on Quantum Energy, taking place at MIT from June 13-16, 2027.

Abstracts should be submitted through the ICQE 2027 Indico submission system. Please enter your title, abstract text, authors, preferred presentation format, and topical area directly in Indico.

Abstract submission requires an Indico account. MIT users may log in using MIT Touchstone SSO. External users can create an Indico account when prompted.

Abstract submission deadline: April 1, 2027, 11:59 PM Eastern Time

The submission link opens Indico in a new tab. If the submission form does not open immediately, please log in to Indico and then click “Submit new abstract” on the Call for Abstracts page.

Submission information

Abstract format

Please submit a concise abstract directly through Indico. The abstract should be suitable for review and inclusion in the conference book of abstracts.

Presentation preference

Please indicate whether you prefer an oral presentation, a poster presentation, or either format. The program committee will make the final assignment.

Registration

Abstract submission does not require paid registration. Presenting authors of accepted abstracts will be expected to complete conference registration by the presenter registration deadline.

Topical areas

Please select the topical area that best fits your abstract:

  • Quantum Dynamics in Chemistry and Materials Atomic- and molecular-level quantum dynamics, including polaritonic chemistry, photochemistry and light-harvesting, charge and exciton transport, quantum emitters and sensors, quantum thermodynamics, and quantum materials.
  • Energy Storage in Condensed Matter Quantum batteries for quantum advantage in energy storage, with an emphasis on collective charging and discharging dynamics and open quantum battery systems.
  • X-ray and Nuclear Quantum Optics Coherent dynamics of quantum states of nuclei, including collective effects at the nuclear scale, coupling nuclear and lattice degrees of freedom, coherent nuclear systems, and nuclear excitation transfer.
  • Nuclear Decay and Reaction Engineering Applying quantum principles to engineer nuclear decay and reaction processes, including controlled transitions in nuclear isomers, spin-polarized fusion, muon-catalyzed fusion, and other forms of nuclear reaction engineering.
  • Quantum Information for Energy Applications How quantum information science and foundational quantum principles can be brought to bear on energy technologies.
